Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Group Games App ("we," "us," or "the app") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related services. We try to keep this short and readable. If anything is unclear, please reach out via our contact form: https://calumhenderson.com/contact
1. Information we collect
Group Games App is designed to work without requiring you to create an account or share personal details. The information collected falls into three categories:
• Device and usage information — such as device type, operating system version, language, app version, crash reports, and general interaction data (e.g., which screens were opened). This helps us keep the app stable and improve gameplay.
• Advertising identifiers — a resettable identifier provided by your device's operating system (e.g., Android Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA) that may be used by AdMob to deliver ads. You can reset or limit this identifier at any time in your device settings.
• Purchase information — if you make an in-app purchase, your transaction is processed by the platform store (Google Play or the Apple App Store). We receive a confirmation that the purchase succeeded but do not receive or store your payment card details.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
• Operate, maintain, and improve the app and its features.
• Diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
• Display advertising that helps keep the app free, including via AdMob.
• Process and verify in-app purchases and prevent fraudulent activity.
• Comply with legal obligations.
3. Advertising and AdMob
Group Games App uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect and process information such as your device's advertising identifier, approximate location (derived from IP address), and basic device information in order to serve and measure ads. Some of these ads may be personalized based on your interests.
You can read more about how Google handles this data in the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and the AdMob & AdSense data disclosure (https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543).
4. Your tracking choices
We honor your decision not to be tracked. If you opt out of personalized advertising or tracking, we will instruct AdMob to serve only non-personalized ads to your device, and we will not use your advertising identifier to build an interest profile for marketing purposes.
You can control tracking and personalized ads in several ways:
• iOS: When the app first asks for permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, choose "Ask App Not to Track." You can change your choice anytime under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Do Not Track: If your device or browser sends a "Do Not Track" or equivalent signal, we treat it as a request to disable personalized advertising and tracking-based analytics.
When tracking is disabled, you will still see ads — they will simply be non-personalized (contextual) rather than tailored to you.
5. Analytics
We use basic analytics tools (such as Google/Firebase Analytics) to understand how the app is used in aggregate — for example, which games are most popular and where users encounter errors. Analytics data is collected in a way that is not designed to identify you personally. If you have opted out of tracking (see Section 4), analytics events from your device will be limited or disabled accordingly.
6. In-app purchases
Some content or features in Group Games App may be available for purchase. Purchases are handled entirely by the platform store (Google Play or the Apple App Store). We do not see, collect, or store your payment method, billing address, or full account details. We only receive a record that the purchase took place so we can unlock the relevant feature on your device. Refunds and billing questions should be directed to the platform store.
7. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information only with the service providers needed to run the app:
• Google (AdMob & Firebase Analytics) — for ad delivery and aggregate analytics.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — for in-app purchase processing.
• Hosting and crash-reporting providers — to keep the app online and stable.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public.
8. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Aggregate analytics data may be kept for longer periods because it is no longer associated with any individual device.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
Group Games App is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required in their country (for example, under 13 in the United States). We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice in the app.
12. Contact
